While we are no longer developing Digital Mysteries and Thinking Kit, we are leaving our website up for those of you interested in the ideas behind the Apps.

Director of Reflective Thinking, Dr. Ahmed Kharrufa is all set for ITS 2013 next Tuesday, where he will present a new paper. Fellow contributors Roberto Martinez-Maldonado, Judy Kay and Patrick Olivier, Ahmed will discuss 'Extending tabletop application design to the classroom'.

Although general guidelines exist for single groups collaborating over an interactive tabletop, until now there hasn’t been any intended for use in a classroom; where multi-tabletops would be used at the same time. The paper explores this challenge in detail using a distributed cognition framework, previous research and first-hand experience.

If you are going along to the conference, see the research findings presented during 'Papers Session 4: Education and Training' at the Younger Hall on day three: Tuesday 8th October 2013. Registration opens at 8.30am, with speakers starting at 9am.

We'll share the paper on our research page as soon as we can, but until then we'll update you on the conference, which is taking place between 6-9th October at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
